Leading Clean Utilization of “Urban Mine” and Benchmarking the World First Class One More New Technology of China Nerin Reached a Leading Level in the World
In the past few days, China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association organized a scientific and technological achievements evaluation meeting of “Key Technologies for Co-Disposal of E-waste and Multi-Metal Solid Waste and Systemic Technologies for Equipment Development and Application” in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. China Nerin General Manager Wu Runhua was present at the meeting and delivered a welcome speech, and Chairman of the Board of Supervisors Wen Zhe, Chief Engineer Tang Zunqiu, Senior Advisor Yao Suping and key members of the research group attended the meeting.
The evaluation expert group consists of 3 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and well-known experts from China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, China Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance of Renewable Resources, Wuhan University of Science and Technology, Central South University, Beijing University of Science and Technology, etc.
The evaluation expert group highly appreciated the scientific and technological innovation of China Nerin and reached consensus that the technology of the project has reached a leading level in the world after they visited the achievement demonstration line on site, listened to the special report, asked questions and reviewed the answers.
After five years of efforts, China Nerin has realized comprehensive recovery of valuable elements from “urban mine” such as e-waste, low-grade copper scrap, industrial waste, and electroplating sludge with “pyro-metallurgical concentration + hydrometallurgical separation” based on the characteristics of e-waste and multi-metal solid waste.
The project is located in Fengcheng Resource Recycling Industrial Base in Jiangxi Province, with a total area of 33,333 m2. The first phase of the project includes the smelting part of the pyro-metallurgy research and development platform and the normalized research and development plant. The separation of metal and smelting residue is realized by step-by-step reaction in a multi-element atmosphere that maks full use of calorific value of organic combustibles and glass fiber in electronic waste, as well as slagging elements in the multi-metal solid waste. The main technical and economic indicators such as copper, gold, and silver recovery, heavy metal enrichment and unit energy consumption are at the leading level in the world, and the emission concentration of dioxin pollutants in the offgas is better than the EU standard, which is 0.1ng TEQ/m3.
