August 18^th – 21^st, 2019, the 10^th International Copper Conference (Copper 2019) was held in Vancouver, Canada. China Nerin senior technical advisor YAO Suping, Metallurgy Business Unit general manager WANG Wei and deputy general manager HE Feng attended the conference to discuss the advanced copper smelting technologies with the delegates from all over the world. WANG Wei gave a lecture on innovation and application of advanced technologies such as side-blown furnace in China.

         The International Copper Conference is to be hosted every three years by its 5 member countries, that is, Chile, Canada, the United States, Japan, and Germany, in turns. It is the most important international academic conference in copper industry.

         Copper 2019 was hosted by the Metallurgy and Materials Society of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (MetSoc-CIM), Canada, and co-organized by the NonFerrous Metals Society of China (NFSOC), China, the Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS), United States, and the Society of Metallurgists and Miners e.V. (GDMB), Germany, the Chilean Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMCh), Chile, the Mining and Materials Processing Institute of Japan (MMIJ), Japan, the Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM), South Africa, and the Society for Mining, Metallugy, and Exploration (SME), United States.

         China Nerin delivered several speeches in the conference, including application and development of modern copper smelting technologies in China, as well as specific technological processes and equipment innovation. The delegates of the conference expressed their great interests in the speeches and admired the recent technical innovation and progress of copper smelting in China

         Related personnel from Marketing Department participated in the conference.
